Position
Role Overview
The Project Officer, Critical Raw Materials (m/f/d) will support the execution of CRM and EU-funded projects through effective coordination, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven reporting. Working under senior guidance, the role ensures the timely delivery of activities and contributes to high-quality deliverables and project outputs. The position also supports proposal development and the integration of results into the organisation’s intelligence platforms.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Consortium Support (EU projects):
Support the planning, execution, and delivery of CRM intelligence projects (e.g. supply chains, mining and processing activities) under the supervision of Senior member of the Innovation Team
Track timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with CRM project requirements and EU reporting standards
Prepare and maintain project documentation (work plans, reports, meeting minutes)
Support coordination of consortium activities and deliverables across CRM Facility and related initiatives
Assist in organizing project events (e.g. webinars, workshops) on critical raw materials topics
Contribute to final reports and project closure activities
Stakeholder & Partnership Management :
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (e.g. DG INTPA, EU Delegations, industry experts) to ensure timely and accurate delivery
Develop, maintain, and expand a network of stakeholders in the CRM ecosystem (mining, refining, recycling, policy)
Coordinate day-to-day communication with internal teams and external partners
Organize meetings, workshops, and webinars; ensure proper follow-up on action points
Support SIGN (Strategic Insights Group Network ) on their stakeholder management activities
Intelligence & Strategy Development:
Ensure systematic collection, validation, and integration of CRM data (supply chains, market data, environmental impacts) into the company intelligence platform
Synthesize complex CRM data into executive-level reports, dashboards, and presentations
Contribute to supply chain analyses, market studies, and strategic briefs on critical raw materials
Review and support publication of articles, studies, and knowledge outputs
Focus on Data Analysis & Reporting (aligned with team needs):
Collect, clean, and analyse sector-specific data (mining, processing, recycling, and environmental data)
Support the development of reports, dashboards, and visualizations for decision-making
Contribute, in link with projects, to the integration and maintenance of data within the Intelligence Platform
Cross-team & Internal Contributions:
Provide ad-hoc support to Innovation Team activities (e.g. M2I Platform, CRM-related evaluations, proposals)
Collaborate with other EIT RawMaterials teams (Education, Access to Finance, Communication, Academies, Operations) on CRM-related tasks
Operational & Procurement Support: Support procurement processes (RfA, RfP preparation, follow-up with suppliers and experts in the CRM domain), Assist in budget tracking and administrative project tasks
Requirements & Skills
Master’s degree or PhD in Materials Science, Geology, Physics, Chemistry, or a related scientific or engineering discipline
Proven experience working in an industrial environment
Experience participating in collaborative and/or multi-stakeholder projects
Strong IT literacy; training or certification in IT or Data Analysis is considered a strong asset
Approximately 3–5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in a junior to early-career role

Employment Type: Temporary Position on a two-year contract with the possibility of extension.
